Snowfall, rainfall affect life in Humla Reporter

Heavy snowfall and rain that occurred in the district since 2:00 pm Wednesday has thrown life out of gear. The snowfall occurred after a break of eight days since Wednesday afternoon.

According to chief district officer Madhav Prasad Dhungana, the chilling cold and obstruction of airport, only one means of transportation have created hardship to the locals.

Regular flights to and from the district have been obstructed due to poor visibility, CDO Dhungana added.

Two held with leopard hides Reporter

Police arrested two persons in possession of leopard hides from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Jadibuti. Nepal Police headquarters has confirmed that Indra Kumar Tamang, 16, and Raj Kumar Tamang, 17, hailing from Kavre Bhakundebesi were held with hides of spotted leopard on Wednesday. A police squad from Koteswor-based Metropolitan Police Range arrested the Tamang duo with wild beast body part in course of security screening. Police said that further investigation into the incident was underway.
