Nepal defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to win its third match under the ICC Women T20 World Cup Qualifier Asia-2019 going on in Thailand. In the match held today at Terdthai Cricket Ground, Nepal met a target of 42 runs posted by the UAE in 10.2 overs at a loss of three wickets. Nepal has defeated Iran by 3-0 in the match held under the Women's football Hero Gold Cup 2019 in Bhubhaneswar in the State of Odisha of India today. Nepal’s Bikram Shrestha has won the bronze medal in the eighth World Para Taekwondo Championship- 2019 in Turkey. In the competition held this morning, Shrestha beat a Morocco rival to win the medal towards one Poomsae under the P-32 male genre, said coach Kabiraj Negi Lama. Russia won the gold and the silver was clinched by Croatia. Along with Shrestha, Italy’s Ricardo Zimmerman won the bronze. This is the debut of Nepal in Poomsae of world para taekwondo championship. A total of 425 players from 69 countries are competing in the championship.

A Kathmandu-Pokhara motor rally will be organised on coming Friday to create awareness against cancer. To be organised jointly by the Nepal Cancer Relief Society and Kathmandu Guest House Foundation, the rally will start from Kathmandu and conclude at Sarangkot of Pokhara, covering around 200 kilometers distance, said the Foundation's President Diwakar Karnikar at an event today.
